Tracing the Past. The Ancient History of the Lublin Region
The “Tracing the Past. The Ancient History of the Lublin Region” exhibition is a fully-multimedia and the largest permanent archaeological exhibition in the region, opened to visitors in 2013. Over 3,000 selected monuments are presented, displayed according to the classic division into three eras, clearly differentiated by the colours used and the means of artistic expression. The most important issues concerning prehistory and the early Middle Ages are presented in problem blocks. The original artefacts are accompanied by multimedia presentations, including films and animations, specially created for the purposes of the exhibition. An integral part of the exhibition are models of archaeological objects, as well as life-size reconstructions of houses, cemeteries, tombs and realistically depicted figures from the past. The exhibition is available in both Polish and English.
