For the first time in the Gallery of Polish Painting of the 19th and 20th centuries, a painting by Kazimierz Sichulski, entered in the inventory book as Legend of the Mountains or Freedom of the Mountains, was presented. It was painted in 1923 in Vienna.

The Lublin Museum (now the National Museum in Lublin) owned a numismatic collection since the institution was founded in 1906. During the partitions and the period of the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939), it was expanded to such an extent so it could serve to illustrate the history of money in Poland.
