TREE DAY
The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Botanical Garden and the Manor of Wincenty Pol, a branch of the Museum of Literature, the National Museum in Lublin, cordially invite you to the TREE DAY event on October 14, 2023 (Saturday) at the Botanical Garden.
At 2:00 pm, a walk with Hubert Rydzewski, the curator of the Dendrology Department – Arboretum, will begin at the main entrance at Willowa Street. At 3:30 pm, there will be a meeting at the Manor of the Kościuszko Family, where Anna Fic-Lazor (painter and painting conservator) will present her watercolor exhibition “Etude about a tree”, sharing her inspirations, including those drawn from Julian Ejsmond’s book “Lives of Trees”. Then, Dr. Tadeusz Piersiak (literary historian) will reveal “Who Lives in Trees?”. Finally, Dr. Zbigniew Jóźwik (naturalist and linocut artist) will give a lecture about the theme of trees in his work, illustrating his speech with poems by Professor Sergiusz Riabinin.
